About Us

As an undergraduate at Harvard University, Dr. Tony Hsu developed an interest in molecular biology while working for Professor Arthur Pardee at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. During this training, Dr. Hsu focused his study on the inner workings of cell aging and regeneration. A career in medicine was an ideal place for Dr. Hsu to pursue his interest in molecular biology and its clinical application. While studying for his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine, Dr. Hsu focused his training in dermatology because the effects of cell aging and regeneration are readily visible on the skin. After medical school, Dr. Hsu completed his dermatology residency at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. In addition to the four years of residency, Dr. Hsu extended his training by completing two years of laboratory research at Dr. Pui-Yan Kwok’s laboratory. During those two years, Dr. Hsu further refined his interest in cell aging and regeneration by studying skin diseases, such as psoriasis, through the use of advanced genetic techniques. Upon completing his training, Dr. Hsu moved to southern California to start his dermatology practice.

Running a dermatology practice has been the proverbial “dream come true” for me. I am able to serve patients from diverse backgrounds with different skin problems. On any given day in my practice, I see a wide gamut of skin concerns, such as skin cancers, acne, rosacea, rashes, sun damage, sunspots, and wrinkles. These dermatological issues all have to do with my area of interest: cell aging and regeneration. To help my patients address the inevitable aging of the skin, I perform many cosmetic procedures, including Botox, Juvederm, Restylane, and Sculptra injections. Additionally, I dispense different skin care lines at my offices in Orange County and Beverly Hills.
However, after nearly a decade of experience with these products, I noticed that there is a gap in skin care lines and that a group of patients are not adequately served. These patients have one thing in common: they need products that are effective yet gentle. Many of the physician-dispensed products are effective but  too harsh for these patients. On the other hand, the major department store brands may be gentle on the skin but are not as effective for treating more stubborn skin concerns, such as hyperpigmentation (brown spots, freckles, acne scars) and severe sun damage.
To help my patients get the skin care products needed, I developed Isis Dermalogic. My goal with Isis Dermalogic was to formulate gentle and efficacious skin care products. Gleaning from years of science research and clinical experience, I realized the most effective way to achieve this goal was to combine the best of two worlds: nature and science. Nature provides the best and most gentle ingredients we need in skin care and the use of science and technology to deliver these natural ingredients to skin cells allows for maximum effectiveness.
Hence, our mission at Isis Dermalogic is to produce the finest skin care products through the best of nature and science. Our products feature patent-pending, Red Wine extract that has potent anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Other botanical ingredients, such as White Tea extract, Mulberry extract, and Songyi Mushroom extract can also be found in our products.  These powerful natural ingredients are encapsulated and delivered to the skin cells using the newest nano-particle technology. This delivery system ensures that our products’ ingredients stay active longer and penetrate deeper into the skin to maximize the benefits of their anti-aging properties.
Isis Dermalogic continues to innovate to bring the best to our customers through research and development.  We will be conducting clinical trials to study the effectiveness of our new skin whitening cream and brightening lotion.  Efforts are also under way to develop a new acne skin care line.
